Automotive, Motor Trade Job: Service Advisor Required in Cambridge.

Salary: OTE £24,000 Per Annum
Term: Full Time, Permanent

Automotive Service Advisor required in Cambridge.

Our client in Cambridge requires an experienced automotive Service Advisor to join their reception team, with a proven track record of working within a busy prestige vehicle Service Department environment.

You will be expected to provide first class customer service whilst maintaining a profit contribution to the dealership. Thorough automotive service industry knowledge, preferably with recognised technical qualifications and knowledge of Autoline DMS (Kerridge) would be a distinct advantage.
To deal with customer requirements for service and repair in an efficient and courteous manner to ensure the highest level of customer care and to work towards further improving our CSI ratings.

Ensure accurate completion of loan vehicle agreement including customer signature.

Agree service repair diagnosis and book vehicles into workshop.

Monitor progress in workshop to ensure promised delivery times are achieved.

Notify and obtain customer approval for any additional work required.

Ensure that work progresses efficiently through the workshop and administration process is adhered to.

Create and present invoices for payment providing explanation of charges and warranty or goodwill procedures where required. To be aware to the legal implications involving the service and repair of vehicles and payment thereof.

Maintain Customer Record Files and Repair Order Register on a daily basis to ensure accurate analysis of Service Department activity.

Maintain customer contact system, including;

a) Contacting the customer following service or repair work to ensure satisfaction.
b) Giving customers regular updates on progress of claims.
c) Follow up of customers not seen for long periods to demonstrate continued interest in their requirements.

Handle all payments made by customer and pass to Accounts.

Carry out inspections where necessary prior to handover of motor car to customer.

Maintain up to date knowledge of Service Procedures to ensure any claims are processed fairly and as quickly as possible.

To comply with all the Quality Standards agreed within the dealership and to have personal responsibilities for the application of the dealership's Policy and Procedure.
