Description

Assystem are currently recruiting for a Life Cycle Management Engineer to support our Gas Turbine In Service Teams based in Derby. We are open to both contract and permanent members of staff so if you have a background/experience in the following sectors, please get in touch:

Key tasks & responsibilities:

Responsible for whole engine to component level sampling strategies on one of the large civil fleet engine types, addressing gaps in component knowledge within different operators and aircraft sub-fleets.
Responsible for organising a team of service & design engineers to sample an engine at an overhaul base making sure all information is collated, reviewed and storage correctly.
Reviewing sampling data to identify any emerging service issues or cost saving opportunities then highlight these to the relevant forums for further detailed investigations.

Engineer is required to present at regular reviews with the client on the progress of strategic targeted sampling plans.
The engineer is also expected to liaise with the client's specialists in order to support emerging issues and have regular contact with the overhaul facilities where embedded Life Cycle Management Technical Representatives are based.

Tracking service events and engine removals through monitors while matching that to the service business plan to maintain forecasting accuracy. Highlight any deviations and implement a plan that will accurately reflect the current situation, these are then fed into prediction models used within service business.

Key Skills & Attributes:

Essential

Microsoft office skills
Degree in engineering or equivalent relevant experience
Good working knowledge of a gas turbine engine
Logical problem solving skills
Good written English

Optional

Project management qualifications or experience

Presentation skills

Formal training in root cause analysis techniques
