Technician - Engine Test

Assystem is supporting an exciting new vehicle development programme and are looking to recruit a significant number of Technicians to work in our Clients Technology Centre in The Midlands area. We are looking to recruit Technicians with experience in a variety of areas: Body, Electrical, Chassis, Engine, Trim, NVH, Marketability, Safety and Crash Test.

This particular role is for an Engine Test Technician

Vehicle Performance, Drivability, and Cost down testing at proving grounds. To include all aspects of high speed driving to static evaluations.

Experience:
Engine / Vehicle assembly
Vehicle preparation
Data collection / instrumentation set-up
Electronic / Electrical background
Test rig experience (General)
Basic Machining / Welding / Fabrication
Computer literacy (word processing)
Data analysis & Report writing
Instrumentation calibration

Basic Computer Literacy:
Excel, Database management & Producing graphs
Word (Report writing)
Powerpoint (Presentations)

Qualifications:
Ideally HNC in Mechanical or Automotive engineering with a recognised apprenticeship.
Flexibility with a positive approach. Must be self-motivated.
