Safety and Reliability Engineer

My client, at the forefront of the aerospace industry, are consistently developing and surpassing current industry standards. Due to continued commercial growth and success they are currently recruiting for a Safety and Reliability Engineer, based in Wolverhampton, on a contract basis.

The Reliability Engineer is responsible for providing expert engineering support to the Value Stream; working with hydro mechanical and electromechanical drive systems, including electronic controllers. This includes working as part of a multifunction project team to develop the design of products to achieve the optimum balance of reliability and safety with other design parameters.

With previous experience in the field your main duties will be to actively engage in the activity of providing an input to the project team to optimise both the system and product design with respect to Reliability and Safety including the provision of trade study data.

You will also be providing analysis and data as required on new product introduction projects, preparing the appropriate sections of proposals for new equipment and support to system studies and providing expert guidance on Reliability and Safety constraints which may affect a system or design configuration and ensuring the correct interpretation of requirements and their application to projects.

This contract will run for a minimum of six months initially and for your efforts and services you will be rewarded with a competitive rate of pay and a stable workload in the current economic climate.
