Automotive Group IT Support Technician Required in the Berkshire area.

Our client, an Automotive Main Dealer in the Berkshire area, is currently looking to hire a IT Support Technician for their busy Dealership.

You will ideally live within the Berkshire area or be able to travel to the Berkshire area.

This role is an excellent opportunity for a driven, methodical and organised yet flexible individual with experience in a support environment to work in a busy chain of automotive dealerships.

The role will be extremely varied, including oversight and design of network and system architecture, as well as management of support functions and day-to-day operations. The successful candidate will have the chance to shape this role and take the department forward.

This is a hands-on job, ideal for a support technician looking to progress into a more challenging role, training on bespoke systems will be provided. The role will provide the opportunity to shape and direct the future of the department and corporate architecture so will require an individual capable of working within a team, managing workloads and prioritising tasks as well as displaying common sense and initiative.
The ideal candidate will have:
Minimum 2 years' experience in a hands-on support role.
Knowledge and experience of Windows Server technologies, including planning, implementation and management of Group Policy, DFS, print services, WDS, WSUS.
In-depth networking knowledge, including experience with TCP/IP, MPLS WANs and firewall technologies.
Must be able to demonstrate ability to work independently, manage workloads and prioritise efficiently.
Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and ability to train less experienced staff.
A positive attitude, a friendly demeanour and an ability to get on well with members of staff at all levels.
A willingness and ability to learn new technologies quickly.
