JOB FUNCTION:
To produce drawings associated with the design, construction,
certification, commissioning and operation of the company's equipment

REPORTS TO: Engineering Manager

KEY RELATIONSHIPS:
Engineering Team, Project Engineers, Equipment Manager and
Equipment Supervisors

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Produce design details and associated drawings of structures and mechanical plant, layouts and
details using 3D CAD systems
-Update existing 2D geometry
-Perform changes and maintain existing designs, specifications and drawings of equipment
-Assist with conceptual design and development of new-build company equipment
-Perform updating and maintenance of drawings and records in accord with the Quality system
requirements
-Controlling data management system for effective document control
-Any other duties as may be required

KEY MEASUREMENTS:
-Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of engineering drawing codes and practice.
-Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of engineering principles
-Demonstrate practical application of engineering knowledge and expertise

EDUCATION:
-Educated to standard grade or equivalent
-Educated to HNC level in a suitable engineering discipline or equivalent
TRAINING:
-2D (AutoCad) and 3D (SolidWorks) drawing, Applicable technologies (mechanics, fabrication,
structural, hydraulics, electrics/electronics, welding)
SKILLS:
-Competency in AutoCad and familiarity with 3D package(s)
- Familiarity with normal office software packages
-Communication, influencing and inter-personal skills
-Team working
-Professional conduct

EXPERIENCE:
-Proven competency within a Drawing Office environment
-Proven competency in the production of structural details
-Proven ability to undertake site surveys
