Qualifications, Skills & Experience Required:
Essential:
Demonstrated analytical ability
Financial experience - comfort with exchange rates, currency and pricing inform
Advanced excel skills
Communication skills and ability to relate to people at all levels of the business
Desirable:
A financial background
Financial qualifications
Previous experience working within a pricing environment
Previous experience working with statistics
Role Purpose and Overview:
Industrial Power Systems Division is undergoing an exciting period of growth, driven by continued expansion into markets around the world and supported by the launch of new, award winning product lines.
The market intelligence team provides key market, competitor and customer information to facilitate business decision-making.
Our Clients are in the process of creating a world-class market intelligence function presenting an ideal opportunity for the successful candidate to obtain a broad and varied understanding of the business environment.
The pricing intelligence specialist will play an integral role within the market intelligence team through the collection and analysis of pricing data through to presenting key business insights to our internal customers.
Key Responsibilities:
Managing and maintaining a competitor pricing database for all Industrial Power Systems Division products
Working with internal contacts eg. Sales teams to obtain and validate price positioning information
Detailed analysis of competitor pricing data
Producing reports to explain the price positioning of our products within the Market
Continuous improvement of the competitor pricing processes (eg. improving data sources, quality of data, coverage of information and communication channels)
Project activity to support price positioning for New Product Introduction eg. Creating a value based pricing model to facilitate price setting decisions
Working with the rest of the Market Intelligence team to understand our market position and future direction.
