Maintenance Team Leader / Supervisor is required by our client who specialise in Waste Management treatment. Working on 1 of their flagship sites this is a fantastic opportunity to join the organisation in a Supervisory role and play an integral part in driving continual improved performance within the Maintenance department.

With a strong Engineering background (Mechanical Bias) you will have good Supervisory / Management skills and have ability to man manage a team of skilled Technicians and communicate company policies and procedures. Previous experience within Waste Management or Heavy industry will be a good background fit but all candidates will be considered who have a strong Maintenance background within process driven / manufacturing industries.

Experience and Knowledge Required:

Time Served Mechanical Engineer or relevant Mechanical Engineering Qualification
Extensive knowledge of various mechanical drive arrangements, pumps and fans as well as knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems
Candidates must have significant experience of working and leading teams in a: heavy industrial, waste environment or fast paced manufacturing environment.
Excellent problem solving skills
Knowledge of the principals of electrical drives & controls is also desirable.
Highly driven in constant improvement and encouraging excellent performance
Always working to strict Health & Safety regulations and company policy
Candidates will have high levels of drive and flexibility
Basic numeracy, literacy and computer skills are required along with the ability to work on your own initiative whilst also being part of a team.
Good verbal and written communication skills are essential.
You must hold a valid driving licence
