Our client based in a modern facility in the Bristol area is the leading European aircraft manufacturer. They are looking for an Engineering Team Leader with the relevant skills and experience to lead an engineering team on one of their exciting new products.

The Engineering Team Leader will be expected to -
Lead a deployed Engineering Team to deliver the necessary Engineering data for a Design and Build Team (DBT) to time, cost and quality
Be the Architect of the integrated Engineering solution
Ensure the Engineering requirements i.e. Product quality such as weight, performance etc are met or exceeded
Develop the Engineering plans and resource requirements including skill mix to deliver the Engineering objective whilst supporting development needs.
Participate actively in the integration and optimisation of the component across Engineering procurement and manufacture
Implement Engineering packages whilst supporting Engineering Commercial partnerships
Support the development of the CoE Business Management including AOP, Budget, Value Creation and Route 06

The successful Engineering Team Leader will have the following skills, experience and knowledge -
Substantial experience working as an engineering team leader in the aerospace or automotive industries
The ability to rapidly and confidently assess design and manufacturing issues and to supply the appropriate leadership when required
The ability to develop and coach less experienced engineers utilizing good communication skills
A good understanding of metallic and composites production methods and processes
A knowledge of design change modification process and control
Relevant Degree qualification (or equivalent)
Good communication skills with a pro-active approach to problem solving
