Job Description
To provide leadership and governance across the Business Unit on Electrical Engineering business bid and project activities .

Responsibilities
• Execute engineering governance on projects for electrical engineering activities across the Business Unit, including technical approval of deliverables where required. • Lead assigned engineering teams on project delivery • Promote development of Divisional Electrical Engineering capability in response to market trends • Identify and convert business opportunities within Electrical Engineering segment • Support Electrical Subject Matter Expert in the development of the associated PEER Group. • Candidate identification and selection in recruitment of professional Electrical Engineers

Qualifications & Requirements
Key Technical Skills / competencies: • Significant experience in marine electrical engineering design (commercial and naval) • Experience of ship and submarine systems • Experience acting in a Design Authority role • IT literate Key Behavioural competencies: • Effective management and motivation of professional engineering teams • Excellent communication skills , both written and verbal • Excellent team player who develops effective working relationships • Ability to capture and focus on customer requirements • Results driven to ensure work is delivered to time and quality • Confident presentation skills Company/Industry Knowledge: • Good knowledge of the Integrated Technology business environment • Knowledge of MoD working practices • Broad knowledge of marine design codes and standards • Minimum of 10yrs relevant engineering experience in marine electrical engineering Qualifications: • Educated to degree level or equivalent in a suitable Electrical Engineering discipline supplemented by considerable marine experience • Chartered Engineer
