Design Quality Engineer – Aerospace – knowledge of - AS EN 9100, NADCAP, TickIT, D0178B, Civil Regulations

Design Quality Engineer reporting into the Quality & Business Improvement Manager you will be the Quality authority throughout the Product Development Cycle with key responsibility to ensure quality requirements are addressed throughout the engineering development of new products.

As the Design Quality Engineer your key responsibilities will include:
• Determination and generation of Quality plans to meet Customer requirements
• Ensuring Quality plans are implemented and translated into robust production process controls
• Ensure Quality Management System adherence to EN 9100 throughout the Product Development Lifecycle
• Ensure implementation of robust change control and configuration management process
• Manage and host Product Development auditing activities
• Manage Quality Escapes and Customer Investigations
• Drive Product Non Conformance investigations and associated root cause analysis activities
• Conduct required First Article Inspections and ensures smooth transition of new products into production

As the Design Quality Engineer your qualifications and experience should include:
• Degree qualified (desirable) or equivalent experience
• Understanding of key aerospace Quality Standards such as AS EN 9100, NADCAP, TickIT, D0178B, Civil Regulations
• Proven background in Quality Assurance and thorough understanding of Quality Tools & Techniques
• Demonstrable experience in implementation of business process improvements
• Quality Planning - ability to effectively flow down of Customer specific requirements and ensures capture of all quality requirements relating to the achievement of product compliance
• Sound understanding of the aerospace development processes and the impact on the quality of deliverable software and hardware products
• QMS implementation and auditing to recognised aerospace standards
