Project Lead Engineer

If you are a shining star working as a Lead Project Engineer and hold an Honours Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent) then you need to get in touch. In addition, if you have substantial post graduate experience (8+ years) with experience as a senior or lead engineer, then this is not an opportunity you want to miss..

As a Lead Project Engineer you will have experience in a product design environment, ideally Oil &Gas although transferrable skills from marine, aerospace, pumps, automotive etc would be most welcome. As Lead Project Engineers you will have proven ability to lead and supervise a project engineering team and have a high level of system design, installation and operational awareness that will help you inspire those working with you. As a Lead Project Engineer you will possess extensive product knowledge and be skilled in risk management and mitigation.

As the key interface between various internal departments including Design, Quality, Manufacturing, Sales etc and customers in the management of products projects you will as a Lead Project Engineer:

• Determine customer and product requirements prior to project start and define specifications and parameters.
• Act as the primary technical interface to customer and be responsible for technical presentation and instruction
• Control of resource requirements and multiple resources throughout the project
• Deliver project on time to agreed milestones and within budgeted hours
• Deliver project in full ensuring that it fully meets specification, standards and Engineering Execution Process
• Maintain Engineering schedule and manage all technical change to mitigate execution risk
• Manage Engineering Change Requests as required
• Control product design including design review and approval
• Review project quality notifications and raise non-conformance reports as necessary
• Provide input to field project risk assessments
• Oversee System Integration Tests

This is a permanent position, with an expected salary circa £55-60K depending on experience for right Project Lead Engineer.

37.5 per week. Flextime from 7:30am – 6:00pm but CANNOT bank hours.
