Proposals Engineer

The jobholder is responsible for the preparation and control of the commercial and technical tenders for the composites Division. Main duties- liaising with, reviewing and interpreting client's enquiries. Distribution and allocation of tender documents for tender preparation and co-ordinating the input from the supporting depts. Preparation and submission of tenders. Requirements for the post a Mechanical Engineering Qualification and commercial awareness. An hnd or degree in mechanical or marine engineering would be a distinct advantage, as would previous experience in an engineering environment, excellent communication skills, good interpersonal skills and of working within a team. Candidates would be expected to have excellent skills in MS office computer packages including databases and dealing with external customers. Auto cad/inventor experience and math cad would be an advantage.
