Supplier Quality Engineer

The Role

Implement and continually improve the Unit's application of ISO 9001, 14001 & OHSAS 18001 and ALSTOM corporate guidelines 001, 002, 003, 004 with the External and Internal supply chains
Liaise with Major/Critical suppliers at tender/order stages to ensure that they have the capability to meet AREVA's QCD criteria
Develop and role out process improvements to support the monitoring and development of the external supply chains
Execute external supply chain audits, Classification and Process in accordance with ALSTOM corporate guideline 003. Supplier Surveillance in conjunction with Project QA and Engineering.
Focal point for all supplier related quality issues. Responsibility to undertake root cause analyses for supply chain issues.
Interact effectively as part of both the Business Unit and the SYSTEMS Business
Develop good relations with external organisation / supply chain. QualificationsQualifications

The Person

Education / Experience

Degree in a related discipline;

membership of a related Professional Body preferred

experience in QEHS, with a T&D engineering/technical background preferred

experience as a QEHS auditor

Specific knowledge

Good communications and inter-personal skills

Good knowledge of IS O9001;14001 and OHSAS 18001

Business understanding

A basic understanding of the Units business.
