Field Service Engineer

A Field Service Engineer based from Birmingham to Manchester, working from home, to join a major European packaging machinery manufacturer.

Briefly, the company manufactures PLC controlled stretch wrapping systems, pallet wrappers-- a conveyor in and out and a robot arm wrapping from all angles.

Work-wise, it will involve the mechanical and electrical maintenance of packaging machines on sites - most is preventative mechanical, but electrical experience of fault finding, drives, PLC's will be necessary. There will also be installation of new machines, refurbishment of old ones. Working from home, covering the UK, mainly Midlands and North England, but be prepared to stay away a night a week to cover the extremes of the area.

Salary, plus good paid overtime, and payment for all travelling time -- should result in above £35000- £40,000, plus comfortable van, good pension, very thorough training, all expenses etc.
