Maintenance engineer with strong electrical skills required to hold a senior position within the Engineering Department.

This is a highly autonomous role where you will solve electrical critical and complex problems, identify corrective action and implement the solutions. You will be given freedom to drive through changes to maintenance routines and process machinery to enhance efficiencies.

The role:
• You will be responsible for critical and complex problems across the mill within the electrical trade using experience and fault diagnosis skills to bring issues to a swift conclusion enabling efficient production to be maintained.
• Participate in root cause analysis as required, report outcomes of investigations, identify actions and improvement opportunities to prevent recurrence and implement those actions or direct them through the appropriate person.
• 40 hours a week
• Based at the manufacturing site in Sittingbourne, Kent.
• Support and direct maintenance engineers.
• Work closely with The Head of Engineering.

The person required:
• Must have a recognised engineering qualification, the minimum requirement is an engineering apprentice, an HNC/HND would be an advantage.
• Strong electrical maintenance skills including PLC’s and AC/DC drives.
• Can demonstrate experience in maintenance improvements / plant efficiency in a manufacturing environment.
