Production Supervisor

Overview
The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising all hourly paid manufacturing personnel, covering both day and night shifts. You will ensure that quality and productivity is maintained at a high level and that the factory is a clean and safe working environment at all times.

The role
General duties will involve supervising our manufacturing machine shop process and employees to ensure production demands are met. You will be responsible for carrying out Health, Safety and Environment inspections on a monthly basis and ensuring all applicable Quality Control Procedures are being adhered. Attending meetings/briefings is a key part of the role as is communicating information with Team Leaders and Lead Setters within the business.

The person
The successful candidate will ideally be time served and hold an HNC or equivalent in an engineering discipline.

Previous supervisory/management experience working in a high volume machine shop manufacturing environment is essential as is the knowledge of quality and continuous improvement techniques. A good understanding of HS&E requirements within a production environment is also required.

Additionally a positive ‘can do’ attitude is essential. Excellent organisational and time management skills are also required along with an ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.

Hours of work are 37 per week on a day shift / night shift basis.
