Sales Manager
My client, based in Adlington, is seeking to recruit an experienced sales manager to join their team in a large Debt Management company.
Role Summary
To drive sales performance within a team of up to twenty advisors, supported by a team champion and team expert. You will lead, motivate and coach your team, and also work closely with other managers in order to deliver performance.
Productivity, quality of service and our people are also important to us and results need to be achieved within the appropriate compliance frameworks. Some of the services offered are regulated by the financial services authority (FSA) and as such all applicants will face financial screening checks.
You will also be responsible for dealing with face to face sales at various venues, therefore retail or face to face sales experience is also essential.
Key Responsibilities
To lead, motivate and coach a team of advisors to achieve business targets for sales, service quality and productivity.
To develop the appropriate sales culture whilst working as part of the wider leadership team within Fairpoint.
To demonstrate company values and business ethics.
To develop team members through coaching and to ensure regular 1/1s take place to support this.
To identify both team and individual training needs and work with the training team to ensure these needs are met.
To manage performance, implementing development plans with the team, coaching team members, and implementing performance improvement plans where needed.
Adherence to all budget constraints.
To lead change effectively within team.
To initiate, set up and run incentives to achieve quantifiable increased business performance within company budgets.
To demonstrate a development culture where teamwork, empowerment and trust are encouraged.

Ensuring that recruitment and training of staff allows for continued growth of the functions including individual and group training and coaching.
Implementation of contingency and emergency plans to improve performance.
To communicate where necessary executive policy and procedures.
Work to minimise staff attrition through the adoption of communication, staff development and recognition programmes.
To co-ordinate and manage various offsite promotions at shopping venues and other sites.
To carry out duties in accordance with Fairpoints Equal Opportunities policy, Health and Safety policy and Data Protection.
Other duties as determined by the department Director that is in accordance with the position
Specific Skills & Experience
Essential
Previous experience of leading telephony based teams.
Ability to achieve productivity, service and sales targets.
Ability to coach and establish performance improvement criteria.
Ability to communicate at all levels both written and orally.
Excellent time management and process improvement skills.
Ability to work well in a team and across functional boundaries.
Experience of setting, monitoring and achieving KPIs.
Ability to lead and motivate multi-functional teams.
Ability to delegate to and work with other team members.
Experience of face to face selling, preferably in a retail environment
Desirable
Expert knowledge of systems used in a Debt Management company.

Hours of Work
The company operating hours are between 08.00 and 21.00. Our standard contracted hours are 37.5 hours, full time.
Please note that there is an expectation for you to be flexible.
