My client school is a large four form entry Primary school located in the Outer London borough of Enfield. The school has a rich history and is housed within a lovely newly renovated site, benefiting from recent investment with modern furnishings and resources. The school site is serviced by both bus and rail links, followed by a maximum 10 minute walk.

This is the perfect opportunity to develop on your current child based experience ahead of a PGCE/GTP or SCITT course in September 2012. This post requires a UK graduate to start this January as a full time teaching assistant (TA) until the end of the academic year. This is a full time post, and requires a committed, enthusiastic individual!

You will be working with a split time table, half of your week as a general teaching assistant providing in class support and intervention across literacy and numeracy. The other half of the week will be supporting pupils 1:1 with a range of moderate special needs. These will include speech and language difficulties and mildly challenging behaviour, including those with ADHD.

The successful candidate will require a strong academic background, including Maths, Science and English in order to confidently work with pupils across Key Stage 1 & 2. You will be a long term staff member, so continuity is key. Only those who can commit at least until the end of this academic year should apply.
