Our client is currently the largest national Provider of Offender Learning in the UK; their highly qualified employees are fully trained in security arrangements in order for them to deliver a responsive curriculum within prisons across England 52 weeks a year.

They are currently seeking to appoint a full time Vocational Training Curriculum Team Leader to work within the Education provision at HMYOI Wetherby.

Reporting to the OLASS Manager you will manage and co-ordinate the Vocational Training provision and staff, and be an active member of the Senior Management Team within the department. The successful candidate will manage the curriculum area to monitor and improve teaching, learning, assessment and achievement within the department.

Applicants must have the ability to deliver, assess and lead a team and have knowledge of curriculum development, ensuring compliance with the Adult Learning framework, best practice and quality targets. Under the criteria of the awarding organisation you will be required to hold or work towards the relevant Assessors Award.

You will have excellent change management and people skills, specialist knowledge of delivery and developments within the Vocational Training area and be an enthusiastic problem solver/decision maker. You will hold a teaching qualification at Level 5 (Cert Ed/PGCE) and a subject specialism Level 5 qualification.
