Junior Sales Consultant
An interesting opportunity exists to join one of the worlds leading software houses as a Junior Sales Executive.
The company is well known and with more than 14,300 customers and more than 30 years experience, our client is the UKs leading provider of fully integrated software and services.
In this role the successful applicant will eventually be responsible for selling the Accounting and Business Solutions suite of software to prospect customers and or, customers within a designated territory and manage the full sales lifecycle from initial appointment generation through to close of sale.
This role is seen as a development position within the Accounting and Business Solutions and whilst it will attract sales performance measures and targets from day 1 these will be commensurate with the experience level of the candidate.
Training will be provided for both sales skills and product on an on-going basis and we would expect the individual to be in a position to take on a full territory and target in a two year timeframe.
Base salary, benefits and commission structure will be tiered over a two year period and based on achievement of both sales target and objectives.
Key job responsibilities
To generate appointments through new business calls to prospective customers
To arrange appointments with prospective customers through leads provided
To visit prospective customer sites across the defined territory and effectively demonstrate the product range of software on a 1:1 basis and to groups
To absorb product training and keep abreast of product and legislation changes identifying sales opportunities to exploit such changes
Maintain a network of referrers within your territory
To create and execute a sales strategy with agreed prospects
To ensure a high standard of conduct as a Sales Professional
The achievement of sales targets as set by the business unit.
The ideal candidate will have:
Either field or telephone based sales in a B2B environment
Sales experience of new business software sales or account management (minimum 1 year) is desirable
Some experience of working with accounting/finance software
Capability to demonstrate software to prospective customers
What you can expect in return is a starting salary of £25,000 rising each year over two years to £40,000, a car allowance of £6,000, smart phone, laptop, and an initial OTE of £50K rising to £80K over the first two years.
