Software Tester

Software Tester: Halarose Ltd. requires a new Software Tester to join its growing team. You will be involved in testing across the full product development cycle, from conception to release, and will contribute to the development and improvement of testing within their organisation.

As a Software Tester you must be methodical and have an excellent eye for detail as well as being motivated to perfect products and processes. To be a successful Software Tester with Halarose, you will possess an innate knowledge of programs and how they work, along with a strong sense of where software defects are most likely to occur.

You don't need to have tested before, as previous programming, system administration, or IT support experience may have provided you with the appropriate skills. However, we are also keen to receive applications from experienced QA professionals.

Responsibilities:
- All aspects of testing, including test planning / scripting, test preparation, test execution, test management, and defect management
- Design and execute regression, functional, performance, data, and acceptance tests against our range of products
- Work closely with the software development team and members of the support team to help identify and replicate customer issues
- Provide accurate status reports on defects to the management team
- Extend and improve our test coverage and methodologies under the guidance of our current tester and the development manager

Desirable Skills & Experience:
- Previous testing, programming, system administration, or IT support experience (University / Previous Employment)
- Motivated and self-driven
- Excellent Communicator
- Ability to work to tight deadlines
- Familiarity with database application software
- Experience of automated testing
- Knowledge of Windows & Windows Server Operating Systems
- Use of bug tracking software
- Exposure to software development build tools
