2nd line IT Support analyst - Docklands £30,000 per annum
Leading Mechanical and Electrical building services contractors based in Canary Wharf currently have an urgent requirements for an experienced 2nd line IT analyst to join their team.
The chosen candidate will be required to consistently provide a highly efficient and professional technical support service to assist the IT Systems Manager in implementing and maintaining fit for business system solutions. This includes maintaining and supporting, all technical areas in relation to network infrastructure, server infrastructure, data communications and telecommunication systems
Main duties of the role will be but not limited to:
1Act as the first point of contact for all technical support, effectively monitoring and completing all technically focused tasks arising.
2Proactively contribute to the wider business technical support structure, as necessary, whilst adhering to the specific technical support requirements for Haydon users.
3Effectively co-ordinate all technical support activities and communications, including escalating any and all issues associated with existing and/or future products/procedures whilst providing a highly professional and efficient technical support service.
4Ensure all calls and updates are logged in the company's helpdesk system, SupportWorks
Ideal candidates will have the following attributes
*Demonstrate an understanding of Information Technology in a commercially sensitive environment
*Conduct appropriately focused research into issues arising and products as required.
*Prioritise and execute tasks in a high pressure environment and make sound decisions in emergency and/or business critical situations
*Present ideas, solutions and processes in a user-friendly language
*Show willingness to quickly and efficiently absorb and review new information
*Prioritise own workload whilst working well both under instruction and independently utilising own initiative to ensure objectives are consistently achieved
*Demonstrate exceptional attention to detail and analytical skills
*Demonstrate self-motivation and direction with the ability to organise and manage large volumes of information in a busy environment
*Knowledge of the mechanical and electrical construction sector
*Proven analytical and problem solving skills.
*Thorough understanding of Exchange, Share-Point2010, Windows 2008R2, VMware,
*Active Directory, c isco Networking Products (predominantly router configuration), Office 2010
*Some knowledge of Lotus Notes / Lotus Databases.
*Excellent understanding of Network security and best practice approaches across a multitude of technologies.
*Demonstrate the capability to consistently and effectively deliver against the Personal Objectives and Ways of Working Criteria applicable.
Interviews will be held week beginning the 16th of April with an immediate start.
