Interaction Designer - Ratio

Package: Up to £30,000 pa (DOE) + Quarterly Profit Bonus + Benefits Package

Ratio is a young and rapidly expanding affiliate network specialising in the finance vertical. We pride ourselves in enabling our affiliates to deliver an incredible service to their customers and to run super-efficient campaigns by leveraging some really clever, bespoke software that we make at our studio in Bournemouth.

Due to our continued expansion we’re looking for an Interaction Designer to come and join our team. This is a progressive role where the successful candidate will be given the opportunity to develop their skills whilst working alongside an experienced team of software engineers. Training and support will be given where required but we expect our new recruits to push themselves, self-learn and to be making a real impact within a short period of time.

Responsibilities:

Own, create and constantly work to improve a multitude of customer interactions on both B2C and B2B environments.
Create, develop and lovingly nurture every element of the customer journey.
Play an active part in the development of the business, transcending your design role.
Translate business needs into well defined architecture, copy, design and usability.
Implement new functionality, improve existing journeys, trial new concepts and test them on real life consumers.
Own, compile and analyse statistically significant performance data. It will become the air you breathe and the language you speak. It will empower you to make the right decisions and lead you towards creating perfect journeys.
Requirements

You have an extensive track record demonstrating a mastery in the application of typography, colour, imagery, web furniture and forms.
You produce concepts that don’t use unnecessary words/pixels.
You know instinctively how to design for a variety of interactions and for many different types of consumer.
You know where we stole the format of this advert from.
You can send me personal projects which demonstrate your aptitude for designing interactions.
You have the ability to work in areas outside of your usual comfort zone and get things done quickly.
You become mildly aroused when you open a new Apple product.
Bonus Skills

Experience in designing for mobile devices.
A working knowledge of markup languages such as HTML, CSS or JQuery.

You have created your own font.
You are able to name your favourite colour by Pantone reference.
