Electronics Test/Surface Mount Technician

You will be required to work as a proactive team member, assemble, inspect and test electronic assemblies, as well as testing and fault finding down to component level using test specifications and circuit diagrams, with the use of DVMs, oscilloscopes, etc.

You will be involved with the repair and assembly of products, and be able to solder and inspect to IPC-A-610 Class 3 standards following departmental, quality and health and safety procedures.

It would be extremely advantageous to have experience in Surface Mount Technology, including:

Use of computer software for programming, set up and operation of surface mount equipment.

Use of solder paste printing machines and re-flow ovens.

Surface mount component knowledge and identification.

Inspection of surface mount assemblies manually and with AOI, including rectification of any faults found.

Preventative maintenance to surface mount equipment and machinery, adhering to established maintenance procedures and plans.
