Conflicts Officer (Mandarin language)

The Company:
Our client, a London-based Law firm is looking to increase the capacity of their Compliance Department, with specific technical and language skills.

Specific responsibilities:
This highly respected top 20 law firm based in Central London is looking for an experienced Conflicts Officer, with Mandarin language skills, to join their Compliance Team on a permanent basis.

Reporting to the Head of Compliance, you will be responsible for assisting partners and other members of the company with the new business on-boarding process.
This will involve conflict of interest searches for legal, commercial and business related conflicts, AML processing for new and existing clients, sanction checks and other risk management procedures.
You will also be accountable for processing the opening of new clients, conducting conflict searches for new business, as well as reviewing conflict results and liaising with the business to resolve conflicts.

Successful candidates will have a background in Conflicts of Interest within law firms, as well as having a thorough understanding of Code of Conduct, Conflicts and Confidentiality and the new Outcomes-focused regulations.

Candidate Profile:
2 years experience of working within a Conflicts of Interest within law firms
Code of Conduct experience
Outcomes-focused regulations experience
AML experience
Mandarin language skills are essential
Additional Russian language skills are highly desirable.
Educated to Degree level
