MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB:

To work proactively as a member of the HR team providing an efficient, effective and professional service. This role has a focus upon recruitment - our Client needs an individual who can really 'Champion' recruitment for their business.

DUTIES:

Recruitment

To assist with the recruitment of casual employees.

To liaise with Managers and Supervisors regarding their recruitment needs and to provide on-going guidance & advice throughout the recruitment & selection process.

To work to ensure both consistency and best practice is maintained throughout the recruitment & selection process.

To co-ordinate the recruitment activity of permanent and fixed term employees, including:
- Assisting manager’s with writing adverts
- Liaise with the administrator to place advertisements
- Assist in the screening of CV’s and selection of interview candidates and undertaking first line interviews with departmental managers as appropriate.
- To undertake interviews.

Learning and Development:

To liaise with Managers regarding their employees training needs as appropriate and undertake a training skills analysis where necessary.

To assist with the writing and delivery of internal training courses including all associated administration.

Employee Relations:

To conduct grievance/disciplinary investigations and hearings and assist as required.

To monitor maternity / paternity leave
requests and absence cases.

To assist with the drafting and reviewing of policies.

To respond to reference requests for employees, liaising with managers to obtain assessments and evaluations of individuals, confirming outcomes verbally or in writing.

HR Information System:

To be responsible for ensuring actions for changes of terms and conditions are accurate.

Payroll

To oversee all administration relating to Payroll, including starters and leavers, end of fixed term contracts, change of details, sickness and absence ensuring the Payroll Department receive the information in a timely manner.

Salary and Benefits

To support the annual salary review process, providing advice and guidance to managers as required ensuring fairness and consistency.
