Position: Compliance & Risk Director
Location: Milton Keynes with frequent international and domestic travel
Salary: Up to £90K dependent upon experience and skill set

ROLE:
To ensure that our client and specifically their Healthcare & Testing teams, obtains and maintains accreditation with appropriate Accreditation Bodies and Notified Bodies, providing the ability and reputational status for the business to trade with its clients globally.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
a) Direct management responsibility within the UK & Ireland for delivery of the C&R services and the provision of support services across EMEA and functional C&R governance of the regional cluster teams. Each regional cluster within the business has a functional dotted-line responsibility into this role for all C&R matters.
b) Manage a programme of audits for the business and ensure that the business obtains and maintains Accreditation and Notified Body status through influence and collaboration with other members of the management team. The required accreditation, whilst not exclusive, is primarily focused on ISO 17020, 17021 and 17025, plus EN 45011 standards.
c) Lead all aspects of the relationship between the business and its accreditation bodies (primarily UKAS & MHRA), ensuring all matters related to compliance are effectively controlled.
d) Lead all aspects of the C&R discipline across the business, providing inspirational and thought leadership for the C&R team and its inter-relationships across the business – while coaching, mentoring and developing people within the culturally diverse team.
e) Manage the centralised registration of assessors and other technical specialists against the necessary criteria, to ensure they are suitably qualified to undertake testing, product and systems certification work for the business.
f) Manage the compliance, the quality review and decision process for all Certification and Notified Body decisions produced by the business, ensuring Certificates are issued to clients as appropriate.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS / EXPERIENCE:
a) Proven experience in senior leadership position.
b) Ability to prioritise and handle multiple work demands and pressures.
c) Sound knowledge of accreditation, risk management and compliance procedures.
d) Ability to collaborate effectively across multiple disciplines, regions and cultures.
e) Strong communicator both written and oral.
f) Ability to influence & persuade others; inspirational leadership style.
g) Strong team player, adept at coaching and supporting others.
h) Proactive & goal-orientated – driven to achieve tangible commercial results for the business.
