Job Title: Contracts Specialist - Procurement

Location: Procurement Department

Reports to: Contracts Manager - Procurement

Purpose of the job: To mitigate company risk by effectively negotiating contracts which achieve commercial objective whilst protecting the business

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

To fulfil various tasks and responsibilities in meeting the job purpose as described above including but not limited to:

Negotiate supplier contracts ensuring the business obtains overall value for money from the supply chain and achieve targeted cost reductions
To support the Procurement Manager to implement, review and monitor Preferred Supplier Agreements
To ensure customer contractual requirements are flowed down through the supply chain
Liaise with Sourcing and Materials Management on new materials which are subject to long term contractual obligations
Work closely with Sourcing and PQA in the management and development of the Approved Supplier List to ensure a supply chain that meets the evolving requirements of the business, including security of supply and incorporating low risk and cost solutions from the supply chain
establish commercial and legal relationships that support company interests
To attend supplier review meetings involving other functions as required and appropriate
Provide specialist services on export control/ITAR and other regulatory issues as relevant to the procurement function
Provide training as relevant to all appropriate members of staff both within and outside the procurement department pertaining to the relevance and importance of contractual obligations
Ensure effective filing systems are in place and maintained
To participate in the activities of 'Continuous Improvement’ within the department
To undertake various ad-hoc projects as required to support the changing requirements of the business
To assist other team members with their work and carry out any task where reasonable and relevant when required
To travel to such places (whether in or outside the UK) and in such manner and on such occasions as may be reasonably required
To ensure all company rules and regulations are met
Responsible for ensuring that all Health and Safety policies are adhered to
Salary: £25,000 per annum

Hours of work; Monday to Thursday 8am - 5pm

Friday 8am - 1.30pm
