Manual Machine Operator- Temp to Perm

My client, based in Gloucester, is looking to recruit a manual machine operator on a temporary to permanent basis. This position will consist of using machinery that has been commissioned on site and will involve the use of precision measuring equipment. Candidates will also be expected to learn and develop new skills for future company investments in technology. Candidates may also be asked to work in more than one area/ machine so flexibility is a must

Key Roles-
*Set Up and operate manual control machines and tools (various turning, grinding, and drilling machines)
*Determine tooling requirements, set up procedures, control settings, machining methods and sequences as necessary
*Set up and operate equipment to perform grinding and/or machining operations to very tight tolerances
*Self inspection at all stages of manufacture, using measuring and precision instruments during the process as well as finished article

Candidates with an apprenticeship or technical school background are encouraged to apply, as are candidates with equivalent work experience necessary in machine operation.
