New and exciting STRATEGIC ACCOUNT MANAGER ROLE has materialised to work for one of the largest global logistics companies. The role will involve managing and developing accounts across all disciplines of small pack parcels and worldwide freight forwarding. The role will cover accounts for both Parcels and Freight Forwarding across the whole of the Midlands. The development role will also involve regular European travel, so ideally the successful candidate will live close to both an Airport and have good access to all major motorway routes.
The Strategic Enterprise Accounts Manager is responsible for increasing profitable revenue growth by leveraging corporate contracts at the region level. He/she is responsible for direct sales contract renewal and execution from the corporate (i.e., parent) locations to field (i.e., child) locations to drive new business across our clients portfolio or execute on master contracts. He/she keeps the Director of Enterprise Accounts informed and updated about relevant Strategic, Enterprise and Global segment issues and customers ‘at risk’. This position has dotted line interaction with area sales managers and account executives and a dotted line reporting relationship to the Country and District Staff.
Manages Strategic Accounts Sales Team Activities
•Develops sales strategies and writes strategy papers to achieve profitable growth for our client.
•Targets new business opportunities to drive sales and revenue growth within regions and districts from both existing portfolio customers and targets.
•Identifies and develops areas within a customers business which our client can support in order to build value propositions for clients.
•Collaborates with the ASMs, NAES, AEs and Segment Managers to drive customer strategies at child locations and ensure pull through of corporate contracts.
•Conducts sales analytics using C7C8, CA, Sales Funnel, ESTAT to identify opportunities, decliners and facilitate planning.
•Provides region and district management teams with pertinent Strategic Account segment information regarding Parent and Child location issues to facilitate problem resolution and business development
Manages Internal Company Relationships
•Secures internal support to overcome organizational obstacles in resolving customer issues, hindering business development or sales activities.
•Negotiates with other functions to gain support for business strategies for new or existing accounts.
•Collaborates with internal stakeholders to develop comprehensive account strategies for retention and acquisition.
•Participates in strategy sessions with local account managers during contract negotiations to ensure customer requirements for large, complex agreements are represented.
•Monitors customer activity for large, complex agreements to ensure that both the customer and the company meet contractual agreements.
•Participates in local business plan performance reviews to represent the performance of the segment
Supports Customer Relationship Building
•Maintains relationships with senior leadership in customer organizations to network and uncover opportunities to increase revenue.
•Participates in regular meetings across EMEA with customer stakeholders to develop relationships with C-level decision makers.
•Provides sales team assistance as needed to support the development of client relationships and enhance opportunities for new business.
•Follows-up with customers to assess satisfaction level with services and products.
•Participates in meetings to present and review proposals with clients and sell the value of the solutions
