The Video On Demand ( VOD ) Solutions Architect will be customer-facing and will develop close working relationships with high level contacts within the Media and Technology sector. The role works closely with key client stakeholders as well as the commercial and sales team, providing expert technology resource and insight to develop initiatives, products and new services surrounding Video On Demand solutions design and architecture. The VOD Solutions Architect will create solutions using the company's products and global services, and will also influence the development of partnerships to ensure the spectrum of future demands are met.

Our Client is the largest playout and channel management business in the UK, working with major broadcasters in the heart of the media industry, specialising in delivery of digital media. They work with a blue chip client base providing playout services and access to broadcast content across all media from television to mobile phones in the new media, corporate, video, online, broadcast, TV, entertainment, communications sectors.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate extensive experience of internet protocols, standards, technologies and applications, having gained experience on a variety of high profile projects in a senior technology role within a broadcast media / technology pre-sales environment. Knowledge of broadcast engineering, playout and automation systems, video encoding platforms, digital asset management systems, network storage, virtualisation and cloud, IP, Video platforms, content management and protection technologies is desirable. The Video On Demand ( VOD ) Solutions Architect will have demonstrable experience in Video On Demand solutions design and architecture with broad based career exposure to current online video transcode, encryption, emerging connected devices and delivering user interfaces and VOD services.

The VOD Solutions Architect will have an understanding of scalable internet facing web servicing and application hosting infrastructure alongside an awareness of software requirements analysis, design and development. You will be able to confidently create and articulate the commercial implications of technology decisions with drive and resilience. You will display an enthusiasm for new technologies and will have knowledge of CRM, Payment and E-commerce systems. The VOD Solutions Architect will possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills to build credible, long term relationships with clients, colleagues and partners.
