Microbiology Technician

Our Client is a prestigious pharmaceutical company, who are currently looking for a Microbiology Technologist to join their team on a temporary basis, based in Barnard Castle.

Role Description
-You will be working as part of team responsible for the microbial analysis of the process and materials associated with pharmaceutical manufacturing. This will involve analysis of the raw materials and components, intermediates as well as the final product.
-You will also be responsible for environmental monitoring of the site. Along with this, you will be maintaining culture, speciation and enumeration of microorganisms and will also support the regulatory area, QA audits and inspections.

Candidate Requirements:
-A Science Degree or Equivalent within a microbial discipline
-Experience within a GMP/GLP environment
-Experience working within in a laboratory environment
-Good aseptic techniques
-Have the ability to record and analyse data
-Have the ability to introduce change and have good problem solving skills
-Good communication skills as well as computer literate

Candidate Desirables:
-Knowledge and understanding of pathogenicity and ecology of microorganisms would be useful.
