Our client is a specialist provider of complex mental health services, providing clinical excellence in eating disorders, adolescent, rehabilitation and PICU services.

Young People's Service:
The Hospital operates a comprehensive inpatient mental health service for young people aged between 13 and 18 years, comprising open acute and psychiatric intensive care services.
This service offers care for young people with a range of mental health presentations with enduring high risk behaviours. An acute admissions ward; the comprehensive multidisciplinary team offers a wide range of interventions and works closely with families and locality teams to ensure a smooth transition back to the community. The therapeutic programme emphasises the development of new life skills and coping strategies whilst continuing formal education.
Reporting to the Ward Manager, you will be responsible for the clinical direction of the service, providing clinical supervision for the ward team and implementing best practice. The successful applicant will participate fully with the clinical team and undertake direct patient care.

For this challenging role applicants should have relevant Camhs and a minimum of 2 years relevant post registration experience. We are looking to recruit candidates that have been exposed to Tier 4 highly specialist services for young people.
The post holder must also be experienced in delivering and receiving supervision.
Excellent leadership skills with the ability to be able to assess and prioritise clinical situations.
The management of effective communication between medical and nursing staff both verbal and written is a key element of this role.

The working environment may present difficult and challenging situations, which may heighten the physical, sensory and emotional demands of the role.
