Job Position: Logistics Section Engineer
Job Status: Permanent
Job Profile:
Full accountability of the section with the support of the Logistics Manager, the Section Manager is expected to be an ambassador and role model for CPS focusing on safety, quality, velocity and cost reduction. This is a pivotal role in the business as it drives the development of a team working culture.
Essential Skills, Experience & Qualifications:
The successful candidate will have a experience supervising teams in Logistics or Supply Chain, and have a good understanding of an Operational environment.
You must be able to support small team activities in an environment of continuous improvement and have experience of doing this.
You must have previous experience and knowledge of specific safe working systems, 5S, quality systems, lean principals and Six Sigma.
You will need to demonstrate good people management skills and have excellent English communication skills.
To be successful in this role, the Section Manager will have to be enthusiastic, dynamic and demonstrate excellent capabilities in Logistics, Supply Chain, Distribution, Warehousing, Transport, Materials Handling, Management, Production, Inventory Management, Cost Control, Training and finally demonstrate excellent Customer Service skills. Job Description:
Section Managers have responsibility for their area (within Logistics) and their employees.
The section manager should make sure that all pro-active actions are taken so that no injuries or accidents can happen.
Responsible for ensuring all logistics processes and services are performed to business standards and requirements.
Section Managers must conduct themselves within the Company's Code of Conduct at all times and act as role models for their employees.
Responsible for ensuring effective two-way communication within their area of responsibility, across all shifts
The Section Manager is responsible for effective control of resources within their area of responsibility in line with company business plans.
Basic Hours: 37 hours per week
Salary/Rate: Circa £28,000 per annum. (depending on experience)
