Description

Our client is a well established (FMCG) manufacturer based near Hounslow. They have a need for an experienced Training Manager with ideally some generalist HR experience. Someone who can ’hit the ground running’ and can work in an ever changing environment
The role; To ensure consistency of training within the businesses and units. To provide timely, practical and professional support and advice on all HR issues as required. The role is intended to be an approximate split of; 25% training delivery /50% training strategy and 25% generalist HR. Some travel to various sites will be required

Training and Development
• Engage with management to improve their capability and that of their teams
• Fully understand and support the implementation of the training and development plans for the business
• Provide support to the relevant Training Managers as required
• Deliver internal training courses at middle management level
• Organise outsourced training activities as required
• Talent management
• Employee engagement projects
• Support the business in succession planning through appropriate conversations, training, development and talent management
• Staff management of 3 staff members

Generalist HR
• Provide advice and support to unit management on all HR issues (for example, disciplinary, grievance, capability & conduct)
• Coach and guide managers in HR procedures, policies, strategies and employee relations
• Support recruitment activities as required
• Actively promote good employee relations between union, colleagues, management and employees.

We are looking for someone who has these existing skills
• Professional qualification in training practice preferred and/or CIPD qualified
• Strong training strategy and delivery experience
• Staff Management experience
• Ability to develop and deliver training, using a range of learning delivery methods
• Experience of advising and coaching on ER issues, in a multi cultural unionised environment
• Project management skills
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment

This is a very busy, ‘hands on role’. First interview are held in Holborn, Central London
