Service Coordinator - Slough
Johnson Controls has a requirement for a Service Coordinator to join their busy team based in Slough, Berkshire, UK.
Job scope & purpose
Under direct supervision, coordinates for a defined area the planning and ad hoc scheduling of the front line delivery team and ensures on a daily basis that all technicians are assigned to a site.
Ensure parts & material orders are placed in support of timely and cost efficient execution
Support through timely & accurate forecasting and scheduling the field operations team so that productivity and profitability targets are met.
Deals with incoming customer calls and inquiries. Passes on all quote related questions to the Service Team Leader/Client Service Manager,as appropriate. (added in from Inside Sales Rep position)
Ensure data entry and reporting for all relevant execution data.
Scope : S&S - Geographical scope : Slough branch
Coordinates with the Field Ops Team Leaders on planning and scheduling of front line delivery teams. Plans yearly, monthly and weekly execution of contracts and schedules to align skills appropriately to the needs of the contract in order to ensure maximum efficiency in execution.
Plans & schedules holidays, back-ups, training of all technicians. Works with field operations team to identify cross team training and development needs.
Handles all incoming customer calls and inquiries and adapts scheduling accordingly. Dispatch calls if needed. Escalates customer issues as appropriate. Communicates action plans to the customer.
Ensures consistent and daily schedule communication with the front delivery teams and follows up on activities & tasks performed to ensure completion in line with Johnson Controls productivity standards.
Places orders for materials, parts, tools and subcontractors. Selects the most cost efficient logistic solution and supplier location in order to minimize cost on purchased parts. Ensures on time part delivery to job site.
Collect daily feedback on execution (checklists, timesheets, expenses, reports) and ensures all relevant are entered into the Johnson Controls systems & tool. Provides regular consolidated reports to the Field Ops Team Leader.
Ensure that all execution data (time sheets, expenses, delivery plans are entered into Johnson Controls systems & tools.
In addition to the above mentioned tasks, other activities and responsibilities may be individually defined.
A good standard of education is essential
Related work experience, preferably within a service / sales, or technical work environment.
Proficient computer skills using Microsoft Word, Excel and Lotus Notes
Planning & coordination skills, both long term & ad hoc
Attention to detail and accuracy
A good team player with a can do attitude
