Groundworks Quantity Surveyor

Our client is a specialist Groundworks & Civil Engineering contractor that has been established for more than 50 years. Based in Warwickshire, their work involves Bulk earthworks and site clearance, Ground stabilisation, Reinforced concrete works including foundations, floors, retaining walls and external service yards, Roads and Sewers, Section 278 highway works and Drainage, pipework and associated works.

They are recruiting for a Quantity Surveyor to join their team. You must have a proven track record in civil's and groundwork's and have experience of working on civil engineering projects in the commercial sector. The successful candidate will manage projects ranging from £1m to £10m. Reporting to the Commercial Manager candidates must have the ability to manage their own work and take full financial and commercial responsibility.

Based both on site and in the office your duties will be -

- Producing take-offs
- Material schedules
- Bills of quantities at tender stage onwards
- Pricing variations
- Procuring subcontractor quotations during tender and project stages
- Agreeing and raising orders

Skills Required

- Worked/working for a Groundworks/civil engineering subcontractor
- Have a minimum of 3 to 5 years' quantity surveying experience
- Be self sufficient in respect to managing your day-to-day work
