Structural Steel Engineer - Gloucestershire

We are looking to procure an experienced structural engineer who is chartered or working towards chartership to join a busy and successful design team for a South West based client.

The client have been involved in some of the largest steel projects in the UK, fabricating and erecting a wide range of steel structures, including large-scale industrial units, multi-storey office blocks and car parks, retail shopping centres, airport terminal buildings, aircraft hangers, sporting arenas, bridgework and a host of other structures.

Projects have included elements such as the supply and erection of structural steel, the fixing of precast concrete floor slabs and stairs as well as metal deck flooring systems.

Reporting in to the chief engineer and liaising with draughtsmen, quantity surveyors, estimators and other drawing office staff the successful candidate will be involved in ongoing London based connection design projects ranging from 100 - 1000 tones. This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious Design Technician to join a successful company as they look to grow in 2012.

The successful candidate:

- will be degree qualified or equivalent
- will live a commutable distance from the Tetbury office
- MUST have experience with structural steel fabrication and design
- MUST have working knowledge master series, csc fast track and be able to perform manual calculations
