Deinstallation Engineer
Our client is an established and leading business within their area of the Telecoms sector. They now require a permanent Deinstallation Engineer (who speaks both Spanish and English) to strengthen their existing team and support ongoing contracts in the UK and Spain.
The Candidate:
Must be used to manual/engineering work and be physically fit as the work requires extensive manual handling of equipment and is labour intensive.
Must be a competent speaker of both Spanish and English
Must be Customer Focused and conscientious as they will be working away from home on clients' sites representing the company.
Must be flexible and willing to work away from home for extended periods both in UK and Spain.
Must have relevant H&S awareness/training (e.g. CSCS or H&S passport)
Must have own transport and live within a reasonable commute from the Thurrock (Essex) area.
Must be a team player as they will be working in a team in all aspects of the job.
The Job:
The job involves working on clients' sites, to strict procedures and risk assessments and will include the following:
Dismantling and preparation of telecom infrastructure equipment both wireless and fixed line, at customer and remote locations (examples can be seen at our client's facility). This involves the careful removal of various fixings.
Using language skills to effectively communicate with clients, local labour and labour providers as required
Removal of ironwork and fixings.
Transportation of equipment using various manual handling devices.
Cable recovery (labour intensive).
Loading
Working at height.
Use of mobile elevated work platforms (certificate an advantage but not essential as training will be provided)

Starting salary circa £18,000 (OTE earnings circa of £24k+ with overtime/overnight allowances)
Overtime paid for travel outside of normal hours to customer/work location

33 days paid holiday
Normal hours 8.30am to 5pm Monday to Friday
