Warehouse/Office Support
Our client is looking for someone to join their expanding team:
Key Responsibilities:
*Receiving. Checking, and booking in of goods from suppliers and branches, reporting any discrepancies as appropriate.
*Correct allocation and safe storage of goods in the warehouse.
*Picking, checking and assembly of goods for dispatch.
*Stock checking or goods both on a 'Perpetual Stock Count' basis.
*Keep shelves and other areas of the warehouse clean and tidy including all other housekeeping duties in and around the stores area.
*Occasional local collection and delivery
*To liaise with other departments and branches as required, and operate in accordance with Quality Assured and Health and Safety directives.
Assist with all aspects of office support including:
*Dealing with customer orders and enquiries appropriately and in a timely manner.
*Check and ensure the customer is advised on availability or product, pricing and appropriate discounts.
*Ensure accuracy of orders before entering onto the Strategix system
*Progress any outstanding orders, keeping customers fully updated of progress
*Complete any associated paperwork and administration functions associated with the role
*Escalate issues where appropriate to Internal Sales Supervisor or Customer Services department
*Liaise with Sales Engineers, other departments and branches as required.
*Liaise with all other departments and branches as required, and operate in accordance with Quality Assurance and Health and Safety directives.
This is not an exhaustive list of accountabilities and the role holder will be required to carry out such other duties as may be reasonably required.
Skills and experience needed:
*Good working knowledge of general warehouse systems and Practices.
*Good keyboard skills.
Qualifications / education / specialist training required:
*Forklift certification
*GCSE Maths and English, or equivalent
*Full clean driving licence
*Fork lift truck certification
*Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and data entry systems

*Be a good communicator, and customer focused and responsive
*Be able to take responsibility
*To solve problems effectively whilst looking at continuous improvement
