We are currently recruiting for a Planner who has a background in Civil Engineering with a minimum of 10 years experience on larger Civil Constructions as a Planner with knowledge in Construction Planning and Civil Engineering.
With a HND or equivalent qualification you will have had experience as a Planner with in a Project Manager or Project Control environment (ideally Construction), the role requires you to have experience in Project Planning of Construction Works and be proficient in using Primavera P6.
Key elements of the role are:
* Contribute to the analysis of the compliance of site activities with the Project Control's Scheduling Team
* Manage, measure and report the progress of activities on site by liaising directly with the contractors and working closely with the Quantity Surveyors to understand contractual constraints and responsibilities.
* Initially the Project Planner will be responsible for the Earthwork Scheduling/Planning
* Maintain updated Project Schedules, and prepare necessary adjustments to recover delays, if any
* Liaise with Designers, Contractors and Scheduling Team to agree revision of the Project Schedules
* Adhere to planning and Project Control standards across the project
* Report regularly to the NNB Project Control's Team in the production of monthly reports, through the provision of intelligent information and analysis (weekly and monthly)
* Produce an analysis of trends, generate performance indicators and provide feedback on areas of risk and opportunities
* Analysis and integration of plans and schedules provided by contractors and suppliers.

They produce about one-fifth of the nation's electricity from their nuclear, coal and gas power stations, wind farms, and combined heat and power plants.
This role would ideally suit someone who has worked, or is working, in such a role as a Planner either with or without Nuclear experience but large Civil Engineering projects is a must.
This role is to be based in the South West of the country and has an excellent package for a permanent role.
