Senior Quantity Surveyor - Maintenance & Repairs

A well established housing maintenance contractor require an immediate start for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their busy regional business. Working in the residential, private & affordable housing market they worked on a variety of projects from new build to refurbishments to maintenance. This role specifically is to join their growing Repairs & Maintenance division.

With a turnover last year of around £12 million and looking to enhance on this, it really is an exciting time for the company. Having already established themselves on multiple frameworks within the South West, they are looking to add to these and develop the division.

Reporting directly into the Managing Quantity Surveyor, you will be based out of their Gloucester office managing a commercial team made up of 4 people from Commercial Assistants to Quantity Surveyors.

Duties will include full management of ongoing repair and maintenance contracts in the area directed through the effective management of the commercial team. You will be required to attend client meetings and work closely with the operational teams within the business, as well as having an input into new business and work winning. There is a big focus on profitability and long term focus so drive and passion for the contracts is important.

The ideal candidate must have experience in the following:

Solid background as a Senior Quantity Surveyor within a building maintenance background
Management of multiple repair and maintenance contracts
Management of a small team
Knowledge of Schedule of Rates
Strong management qualities
Drive and ambition
