Works Manager (Civil Engineering)

The Role:

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Works Manager to join a major Civil Engineering contractor on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will play an integral role in the management of a prestigious civil engineering scheme in theMidlands.

As a Works Manager you will need to major contractor experience, with a strong highways background. The successful candidate will ensure consistently high standards of safety and quality from the workforce and supply chain. They will mentor, advise and train over 20 foremen who report to the project's Team Leaders and Agents.

The Company:

My client is the Civil Engineering division of a multi disciplinary international organisation with a turnover of over £1 Billion. They are currently undertaking a number of highway schemes, heavy civil projects and complex rail and utility contracts with values of 100m+.

The Works Manager position is a senior role within the delivery team of one of the countries most prestigious infrastructure projects. You will be given the responsibility and autonomy to drive the project throughout all stages of the scheme.
