STOCK MANAGER - PERMANENT

up to £17,000 per annum

JOB ROLE

This role is to effectively manage the stock room, shop floor operations and to meet customer service expectations.  In this role you will also deputize for the Retail Store Manager. You will be a key manager in a business with annual turnovers ranging from £1 million to £13 million. To be successful in this role you'll need a genuine passion for retail and customer service and excellent leadership and coaching skills.  Your enthusiastic and energetic approach coupled with the ability to plan and prioritize will drive tangible results and in turn your own professional success.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Supporting the Retail Store Manager to maximise store performance through the effective management of KPIs, ensuring trends are identified and opportunities exploited

• Ensuring effective administration support to sales team to support customer service delivery in line with Company Standards

• Driving customer service standards to achieve sales and ensure customer satisfaction targets are exceeded

• Communicating and managing corporate policies, legal requirements, procedures and instructions so changes are managed effectively

• Assisting with staff selection, retention, training and performance issues ensuring a skilled and motivated workforce is able to deliver

• Identifying people potential, managing and driving staff development and supporting staff and managers to achieve their potential

• Creating a safe and secure working environment ensuring compliance with company and legislative standards

• Deputising for the Retail Store Manager and act as Duty Manager as and when required

• Managing the stock ordering and receiving and administrative functions in order to meet stock holding and availability targets

• Proactively manage out of stock processes and fully investigate all out of stocks to satisfactory conclusion

• Action all stock moves in an accurate and timely manner

• Release stock deliveries within agreed timescale to support retail operations
