Role: Purchasing Manager

Salary:£30 - £35,000pa + Benefits

The Company

Our client, is a major supplier to the UK and global Motorsport industry with key clients including McLaren, Lotus and Caterham, they are looking to recruit because of substantial growth plans. They design and manufacture various specialist components and are recognised as one of the industry leaders in their field. They are currently looking for an experienced Purchasing Manager to join the team.

The Role

You will report directly into the MD and be responsible for up to a £150million per year spend, sourcing and obtaining an array of products from top of the range machine tools to aluminium and magnesium castings. You will also be part of the senior management team and have a great deal of input in many decisions regarding the running of the company.

The Person

You will have a solid background within the engineering industry, with 3-5 years experience within a similar role as a Buyer or Purchasing Manager.

Have experience working within a CNC subcontract machining environment.

Have a good knowledge of balancing cost vs lead time, as this will be a main focus for the role.

CIPS qualification is advantageous but not essential.

An interest in F1 and Motorsports would be ideal.
