Marketing Officer

£16,161 to £17,544 per annum
We are looking for a highly-motivated Marketing Officer to join our busy Marketing Team based at the Nuneaton Campus.
You will play a key role in delivering a range of marketing activities, particularly delivered through integrated recruitment campaigns for the College and the Midland Academies Trust, as well as delivering promotional activity to raise the profile of these brands. There will be a strong emphasis on producing publications and copywriting for the website, as well as a focus on planning and delivering promotional activity such as advertising, direct marketing and some recruitment event activity. You will also support the development of the College's profile on social media sites such as Facebook and Twitter.
Ideally with experience in marketing in the education or public sector, you will be used to working to strict deadlines to deliver outstanding results. With strong communication skills, you will have an eye for detail and be willing to develop your marketing skills further.

North Warwickshire & Hinckley College is one of the largest providers of education and training in the Midlands. They offer a wide variety of programmes to individuals, communities and businesses.
The recent Ofsted inspection of the College graded the College as 'outstanding', which has now been coupled with QIA Beacon Status.
Main Duties:
*To assist and deliver marketing activity in line with the College's strategic plan and recruitment targets
*To deliver elements of marketing campaigns, eg for the summer campaign, the school leaver campaign and employer campaigns
*To support and deliver marketing activity to support the Midland Academies Trust (MAT) and its members, including The George Eliot School, The Nuneaton Academy, Hartshill School and The Midland Studio College
*To assist and deliver publications such as prospectuses, the Annual Report
*To coordinate copy (including copy writing and proof reading) for College publications
*To work with photographers to ensure excellent photography is used throughout all marketing materials - in particular the website and publications
*To plan and place advertising activity, including outdoor advertising, press/trade advertising and online advertising
*To support the development of social media communications activity (Facebook, Twitter and Linked In), in particular through the provision of copy and placement of advertising
*To work with the Marketing Team Leader (Research) to fully evaluate marketing activity
*To support events such as Open Evenings, Apprenticeship events, employer focused events, community events, school events, awards ceremonies etc as required
*To advise, support and work with internal customers on marketing support that can be given
*To support the work of the College's Competitions Coordinator and the Marketing Manager on the delivery and support of competitions
*To liaise with other members of the Marketing Team for support on the delivery of marketing activity, eg for design, research, events, direct marketing, publications etc
*To provide budgetary support for the Marketing Team, working with the Senior Marketing Coordinator and Marketing Assistant
*To provide a curriculum liaison service to ensure dialogue between Marketing and assigned departments (an internal 'account manager' role)
*To provide a regular update at the Marketing meeting
*To undertake any other duties within the spirit of the job description and commensurate with the grading of the post

Essential Experience/Qualifications
*Degree in Marketing/related subject or equivalent level of experience
*Competency at Level 2 in English and Maths
*Working to tight deadlines
*Copywriting experience/proof reading
*Excellent computer skills
*Ability to write creatively
*Full driving licence and ability to carry exhibition and marketing materials
*Ability to multi-task
*Ability to work well with staff and students
*Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
*Ability to work well in a small busy team
*Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills
*Ability to work with minimum supervision and use own initiative
*Flexible approach to working hours
*An understanding of 'safeguarding' and its importance within the College

Desirable Experience/Qualifications
*Experience in an education setting
*Administrative experience
Hours: 37 per week.
