Medical / Healthcare Marketing Manager
Our client based in London (SE1 postal area) is seeking a Medical / Healthcare Marketing Manager to join their expanding team
To devise and implement a Marketing Plan for a specified customer segment to support the achievement of the overall Business Plan and the generation of increased income.
? To devise a calendarised Marketing Plan for the specified customer segment for approval by the Head of Marketing and Marketing Team Manager.
? To assist the Head of Marketing and Marketing Team Manager in preparing a budget by outlining the financial pre-requisites of delivering the plan. (Note, this will not need to include reprint spend.)
? To understand the environment and structure in which that customer segment operates and to identify future opportunities within it.
? To plan a resilient business case for all development opportunities identified.
? To project manage the development and implementation of those opportunities, encompassing internal training for relevant business areas.
? To devise and implement Promotional plans to get those opportunities to market.
? To track, analyse and 'fine-tune' sector marketing activity providing quarterly sector updates to the Sector Team Manager.
? To liaise closely with all internal customers to ensure support for projects being provided
? To liaise with external suppliers to ensure efficient and cost effective delivery of outsourced services
? To undertake all the above in consideration of the corporate stance on policy, positioning and corporate branding and values.
? To support colleagues in the marketing team by working on cross-segment projects wherever required.
This all-round marketing development role will require the jobholder to have a broad skill set of marketing competencies including:
- (new) product or service development
- market or segment development
- project management
- campaign planning
- direct / database marketing
- print and proofing
The personal qualities required of the jobholder are:
? Well-organised, good planner with experience of working to deadlines and budgets.
? Self starter and inquisitive
? Experience of marketing and selling services to consumers and business to business
? Experience working in medical markets and/or insurance/membership organisation experience
? Analytical and strategic thinker, capable and experienced in developing and implementing tactical plans
? Ability to work as part of a team
? Confident communicator with people at all levels internally and externally with the ability to adapt communication to different audiences
? Strong personality and assertive without being confrontational
? Willing to spend time meeting colleagues and developing their ideas into results
Willingness to travel
