Children's Support Worker

Capita Resourcing Social Care and Housing urgently require children's Support Workers today!!

We are working exclusively with a national private care provider

Our client provides supported accommodation and independence training for young care leavers aged 16+. Some young persons may have a troubled history and require different support. Client groups could include young offenders, unaccompanied minors, young parents and young adults with learning difficulties, mental health, and drugs and alcohol issues.

Our client is looking for support workers inTelfordand surrounding areas immediately for on-going contracts, offering full and part time work to suit. This role would suit anyone living anywhere in the midlands as the long shifts and sleep-ins make it economical on the travel costs.

You will be required to work on a one-to-one basis with a young person on a shared rota system with other support workers. Shifts can start as early as 8am through to 10pm and will often include sleep-ins, then you will be required to handover to another member of staff the following morning.

accommodation
personal and domestic hygiene
health
budgeting
training/education/recreation
emotional well-being
future plans Candidates applying for this role must have the following-

Experience of working with Children, teenagers and challenging behaviour.
Experience of lone working and promoting independent living.
Knowledge and training on the children act.
Child protection training certificate.
Excellent written communication skills and report writing skills.
Clear CRB Enhanced disclosure
Car drivers essential as you may be required to work in the community away from accommodation.

We have full time and part positions available and may be required to work weekends as well as evenings and some sleep-ins.
