Contract Accountant – Major Logistics Company
Location: Either Northants or Derbys
Package: £35 – 38,000 + pension & 25 days holiday
Monday to Friday 37.5 hours

Our client, a major logistics and distribution company, is currently looking to recruit an experienced Contract Accountant, covering two sites based in Northamptonshire and Bristol. The role will be based at the company’s site in Northamptonshire, with travel to its Head Office in Derbysire one day per week.

Reporting to the company’s Finance Manager, you will be responsible for review and detailed understanding of weekly and monthly results. Ensuring payments are processed from order to cash receipt in a timely and accurate manner, providing guidance and support to the Assistant Contract Accountant and Admin teams along with the responsibility for financial controls within both depots.

Requirements – you will need the following experience and skills:

• Fully CIMa or ACCA qualified
• Excellent communication skills – clear and concise
• Technical skills are a pre-requisite, as well as a strong character and the ability to thrive on challenge
• Meticulous in carrying out tasks, taking ownership for the responsibilities of the role with minimum supervision
• Highly competent in MS Office
• An understanding of the logistics industry would be an advantage
